CNC Machining Centres

At IGS Engineering PTV Ltd, we use modern CNC (computer numerical control) machining centres to manufacture precision components for vehicles with 2, 3, or 4 wheels. CNC machining is a subtractive manufacturing process where computer software gives order to the movements of the machine and its cutting tools.

How CNC Machining Centers Work?

CNC machining centers consist of a bed or table that holds the workpiece securely in place, and a spindle that holds one or more cutting tools. The cutting tools can move along multiple axes (typically 3-5) to remove material from the workpiece with high accuracy and repeatability.

The entire cutting process is controlled by a computer program containing coded instructions on tool movements, speeds, feeds, and other parameters. This program is loaded into the CNC machine’s control system, which executes the programmed commands precisely to shape the raw material into the desired part.

Applications in Automotive Manufacturing

At our facility, CNC machining centers play a vital role in producing various automotive components with exceptional dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Some examples include:

  1. Engine components (cylinder heads, blocks, pistons)
  2. Transmission components (gears, shafts, housings)
  3. Suspension components (control arms, knuckles)
  4. Brake components (callipers, discs, drums)

The ability of CNC machines is to rapidly switch between cutting tools. These repeated complex motions enable efficient machining of intricate geometries from tough materials like alloy steels, aluminium, and titanium. With professional and out of best quality products makes us different from others.

Our skilled programmers and operators work closely to optimise the CNC machining process. They ensure highest quality outputs, minimal waste, and bonding to stringent industry standards. We ensure client satisfaction and standards.
